Religious Fundamentalists Send Notice To Censor Board Over Bangistan

Even as debate rages over the volatile and profane content of Dr Chandraprakash Diwedi's Mohalla Assi , another film Bangistan directed by film critic Karan Anshuman and its trailer have evoked strong reactions from religious fundamentalists .

It is unlikely that the film will be cleared without the censor board obtaining expert religious opinion.

Says a source, "The censor board will clear neither film without getting religious experts to scrutinize the content. Mohalla Assi has not even come to us. Bangistan will be cleared after proper scrutiny. We are very clear in our stand on films containing comment on religion. Nothing ill be passed without careful consideration."
