Rekha attends Sonam Kapoor's 'Khoobsurat's special screening

It's a rare sight to see Bollywood's yesteryear diva Rekha make public appearances. And one such appearance she did yesterday. The reclusive actress was clicked by the paparazzi when she attended the screening of the Sonam Kapoor's latest flick Khoobsurat. This special screening took place at the Light Box Theatre in Santacruz (W), in the city. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film stars Fawad Khan opposite Sonam, Kirron Kher and Ratna Pathak, and it will hit the big screens this Friday, September 19.

This Sonam Kapoor starrer is a remake of the Rekha starrer movie of the same name. The original 1980 film was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, and had dialogues penned by the legendary Gulzar saab. Besides the veteran actress, it also starred Rakesh Roshan, Ashok Kumar and Shashikala. The film won  the 1981 Filmfare Best Movie Award, is one of Rekha's best roles on the big screen and no wonder, the movie is close to the senior actress' heart. 

Also, other veteran actresses like Neetu Singh and Sridevi were present for the screening besides Rhea Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Mohit Marwah, Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep Sandhu and Neelam Kothari. But we bet everyone's eyes were on Rekha, for her reaction. By the looks of it, when Rekha snapped by the shutterbugs, she looked pleased and happy. She looked khoobsurat in a white sari. We bet Sonam let out a huge sigh of relief!
