The first behind the scenes video of Emraan Hashmi's upcoming film Azhar is out and it shows the reel-life Azhar being trained by the real-life Azhar.

While Azhar had truly taken it upon himself to teach Emraan the nuances of cricket from batting techniques to his stance, the video is a clear portrayal of the hard work put in by Emraan to fit into Azhar’s shoes.

Emraan said, “I’ve looked up to him and followed pretty much every match when he was playing. His advice on everything is very clear and he doesn’t put much pressure. He lets you be and slowly you see the parts of your game get better,”

And what does Azhar have to say about Emraan? “He has really been very patient and he’s a very good learner," he said.

It was a delight to see the fun camaraderie shared by the two in the video.

Directed by Tony D’souza, Azhar is based on the life and times of one of India’s most loved cricket captains, Azharuddin and chronicles his rise and fall as country’s most controversial sportsman yet.

The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Prachi Desai, Nargis Fakhri and Lara Dutta along with others. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, N. P. Singh and Sneha Rajani, the film is slated to release on May 13th, 2016. It is Balaji Motion Pictures and Sony Pictures Networks’ production.
