Raveena Tandon as guest at India Day Parade in New York

The annual India Day Parade that commemorates India's independence with a lavish celebration involving elaborate floats, celebrities and thousands of spectators took place on Sunday in New York. 

The parade is said to be the largest celebration outside of India and a there were some prominent faces to mark the occasion including Raveena Tandon. The star tweeted, “What a wonderful turnout!! So so proud of my peoples right now! Jai Hind!!!” followed by a couple of pictures of herself with the crowd in the background with the text, “And the Indian peoples of America”. 

For the occasion, Raveena sported a bright Anamika Khanna anarkali with jhumka earrings and a gold choker around the neck. The actress looked radiant in the outfit. Others present for the event included Sunny Deol, Daler Mehndi and Kailash Kher
