On Wednesday, Salman Khan responded the National Commission for Women's notice about his recent 'rape remark' during an interview.

Salman Khan was given seven days notice by the National Commission for Women to apologise for the 'rape remarks' he made during an interview for the promotion of his upcoming movie Sultan. The Bollywood star replied via his lawyer.

But according to NCW chief Lalitha Kumarmangalam, the reply is not an apology. " We have received Salman Khan's reply through his lawyer, he has not apologised, we are studying the reply," she told ANI.

The remarks had stirred up a controversy, dividing Bollywood into two groups, one supporting Salman and the other calling his remarks insensitive.
