Ranvir Shorey and Vinay Pathak's comic partnership

These days actor Ranvir Shorey is basking in the glory that every time he has partnered with Vinay Pathak, it has gone on to pay him rich dividends. Together, they have already acted in about seven movies together and Ranvir says there’s more to come.

“It’s always fun to work with Vinay. We understand our comic timings very well,” says Ranvir.

Reportedly, the two have been pals for more than 15 years and both started their careers with theatre.

The camaraderie has not only benefited the big screen, they have also directed their creative energy at the small screen as well.

“We used to host a successful talk show Ranvir Vinay Aur Kaun?  and co-hosted another show called House Arrest and Duniya Goal Hain. I think our partnership has worked. Comedy is not about making people laugh by cracking jokes. Another subtle form of comedy is the comic timing between actors which I am confident that both of us can execute very well in front of the camera,” he adds.

Talking about his forthcoming movie, which also stars Vinay, Ranvir says, “This time I am playing a cop from Goa. Basically, it’s a fun film,” he adds. Ranvir rubbishes the idea that the legal notice that has hit his forthcoming film is a publicity stunt even as critics raise their eye-brows regarding the timing of the legal notice. “It doesn’t matter,” he says adding, “these days legal notices are exchanged like handshakes ya! What difference will it make to the film? If there is a TV reality show based on betrayal and loyality tests doesn’t mean that our film is also based on that. The film will be released anyways,” says Ranvir.
