Ranveer Singh-Parineeti Chopra's 'Kill Dil' has a decent opening at box office

The Shaad Ali film starring Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Ali Zafar and Govinda might not have been able to win hearts with its lack lustre story line and a loose plot. But Kill Dil has managed to have a decent opening at the box office.

The film was expected to bring in decent numbers given that Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer Happy New Year as well as the Akshay Kumar starrer The Shaukeens have both slowed down at the BO. The Ranveer Singh starrer collected around Rs 7 crore on its opening day, which is decent given the actors involved. 

The pre release hype for the film was good but most critics panned it. Yet, if a positive word of mouth ensues, Kill Dil might just be able to put a great show at the ticket windows.
