Ranveer Singh and Zoya Akhtar in a show on BFFs

Various B-Town good friends have been coming for a show based on best friends. But an unusual pairing that will be seen in one of the forthcoming shows is Ranveer Singh and Zoya Akhtar.

A source says, "It's interesting because few know that Ranveer and Zoya became great buddies after their last film Dil Dhadkne Do. They kept in touch after that and now Ranveer is in talks with the director for her next film. But Ranveer and Zoya were not supposed to come together. Initially, the programming team had thought about getting Ranveer with Arjun Kapoor, with whom he shares a good on and off screen chemistry, but it didn't work out because it was tough to coordinate their dates together. Then the team also thought of bringing Deepika Padukone and Ranveer together but that too didn't happen as there wasn't time, Ranveer was traveling so Deepika shot the first episode with Anahita Shroff Adjania."
