Ranveer Singh accepts 'Woman of the Year' award on behalf of Deepika Padukone

Ranveer Singh is famous for his vivaciousness at public events. He always manages to entertain through his crazy antics. It was no different at Nykaa.com Femina Beauty Awards (NFBA) 2016 where Deepika Padukone won the NFBA Woman of the Year Award. 

However, the talented actress was not in a position to attend the event as she was busy shooting for her much talked about Hollywood debut XXX: The Return Of Xander Cage with Vin Diesel. Rumoured boyfriend Ranveer accepted the honour on her behalf.

After receiving the trophy, Ranveer Singh put on an act saying, "Wow! Woman of the year!" This was enough for the audience to laugh out loud.

He continued in a more sober tone, "To be honest, woman of the year - I am really, really, really proud of her. She is a lovely girl. She is so grounded inspite of experiencing staggering success. And she is..." Few giggles cut him short and he stated, "It's not funny," and then burst into more laughter.
