That Rani Mukherjee is playing a fierce cop in her next is known to all. Mukherjee, who plays the tough woman police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy has come up with an interesting way of paying tribute to the innumerable women police officers all over the country.

Featuring in a special video with the National Anthem playing in the background, Rani Mukherjee is surrounded by top cops from the nation. The special national anthem video is played all around in multiplexes with the recently released Kick

 

Pradeep Sarkar, the director of Mardaani released a statement expressing his pride over this fearless woman brigade. "Shooting the National anthem with the women police force and Rani was quite an exhilarating experience. The women power of India singing the anthem altogether makes you stand up in pride and salute the true shakti present in all the Mardaani's of India", he said.

Also featuring in the video is Rani's little neice, Myiesha. Mardaani, a boisterous film revolving around the unknown secrets of human trafficking is set to hit the screens on August 22.
