Rani Mukerji's 'Mardaani' to be tax free in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday announced exemption of entertainment tax on Rani Mukerji starrer action drama 'Mardaani' as it hightlights the problem of child trafficking in the country.

The state government has decided to exempt the film from entertainment tax as it raises awareness about the trafficking of girls and women, an official statement issued said.

One of the boldest and most definitive films made in Bollywood today, Rani Mukerji's 'Mardaani' is in the news for all right reasons. Now, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that tax free status will be given to 'Mardaani' in MP. Read more. 

The movie, starring Rani as a police officer, released on August 22.
