Rani is currently in a hectic promotional schedule for her film 'Mardaani'. Recently while she was on her way to a promotional event in Mumbai, her car was stopped by a traffic cop.
Just as the actress was about to question, the cop came up to her and explained that he wanted to share in person with her that he really loved her trailer of Mardaani and is looking forward to the film.
He also went on to share that his wife and daughter were very excited to catch Rani in action as Mumbai Crime Branch Inspector Shivani Shivaji Roy. She made for a perfect cop.
Rani Mukerji was beaming by this unexpected gesture.
She has been receiving a lot of praise and is really humbled by all the compliments coming her way.
Infact even during the shooting they were shooting a particular scene at the police commissioner's office. It was an intense scene that is very integral to the film.
During the shoot of the film, the cops and police officers working at that particular police station were also present. They were watching Rani with rapt attention and once she completed the scene they gave Rani a thunderous applause.
After the shoot got completed, a few of them even walked up to Rani and told her that her shots were very powerful and inspiring. They confessed on how she was looking excellent and suited the role perfectly.
'Mardaani' is a gritty film on human trafficking that will hit screens on 22nd August.
