He seems interested about one of the filmmaker's up coming projects and be a part of it. However, it's not decided yet whether it will be Gully Boy, which is inspired by Mumbai's street dancers. “Contrary to earlier reports, she hadn’t discussed the film with him until recently. The so called meeting at her Bandra home a few months ago was merely a private bash where Ranbir was a guest,” a source told a tabloid.
Earlier it was reported that the 33-year-old actor was offered Gully Boy alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh but he turned it down. The alleged reason being, Kapoor didn't want to play a subordinate role to Ranveer who might play a rapper in the film. Also, Singh is his ex, Deepika Padukone's current boyfriend. In the past, RK had turned down Akhtar's previous projects Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dil Dhadakne Do as well.
Now what remains to be seen is that will Zoya consider Ranbir for Gully Boy, after being turned down by him few times in the past? The source adds, “He is eager to work with Zoya since the two films that he had declined received an overwhelming audience response. His last outing, Tamasha, didn’t do well at the box office. So, he is now looking at fresh collaborations to get that elusive hit under his belt. Zoya, however, is yet to take a call on the casting. It will be interesting to see if Zoya goes ahead with Ranbir despite past experiences with him.” Over to you Zoya...
