Ron Howard’s Inferno, is releasing in India on October 14, and apart from English, the film is getting a big release (dubbed versions) in India in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Baahubali star Rana Daggubati has lent his voice for the Telugu version of Inferno, as the voice for Tom Hanks.

Rana, who has been busy shooting round the clock for Baahubali 2 in Hyderabad, saw a special cut of the film and immediately decided to come on board. He dubbed for Tom Hank's part over three days, every night post pack up at Ramoji Rao Studios.

Speaking about his association with Inferno, Rana says, "I've enjoyed all of the Dan Brown's books and have enjoyed the portrayal of Robert Langdon particularly on screen. Tom Hanks is a legendary actor and to be a part of his legacy in this way made for an exciting partnership of sorts. I have seen most of his films. Apollo 13, Cast Away, Saving Private Ryan, You have got Mail being some of my all time favorites. Inferno is quite significant for us in India because it truly celebrates the power of the Indian market for global players, given that they are releasing it two weeks ahead of the US. for me personally, I will be able to look back and feel proud of having memorable characters like Bhallaldev and Robert Langdon to my credit in the same year. I was literally Bhallal Deva through the day and Robert Langdon through the night."

Ask him whether he trained for it and Rana says, “As an actor I learnt a lot while dubbing for an actor of the calibre of Tom Hanks. As an actor you are trained to modulate your voice as per the character you play. I did a small exercise for myself where I got myself recorded while dubbing this helped me a lot in my performance. It was almost like getting trained from someone like Tom Hanks. This is my first experience dubbing for a Hollywood star. I've been a huge fan of Tom Hanks and am really glad I was able to make time to dub for him in Telugu. It is great that a lot of actors today are chosen to do voice overs and dubbing for Hollywood movies like PC, Irrfan and Om Puri did for the Jungle Book and now I am for Inferno. A great story made should reach many more people and by the way of dubbing a Hollywood film you tend to increase cinematic viewership for the audience and create the local connect. I would want to dub for many more films in future."
