Like many other big budget films starring some heavyweight superstars, even Rajnikanth's upcoming film Lingaa has been accused of a stolen story line. A petition has been filed against the makers of Lingaa where the petitioner claimed that the Rajni film had a similar story line to his upcoming film Mullai Vanam 999

Ravi Rathinam, the man behind the petition said that he had performed the pooja for his film on February 24 and hence accused the Lingaa makers of plagiarising his film's content. He also said that Lingaa was supposed to release on Pongal next year while he had scheduled a Tamil New Year release of his film.

The petitioner has also asked the Court to probe into the matter and issue a stay on Lingaa's release until something is proven. Seems like Kamal Hassan's Dasvatharam, Rajni's Lingaa too will face some legal trouble now!
