R Madhavan announces new update on directorial debut 'Rocketry The Nambi Effect', assures it's not April Fool's Day joke

R Madhavan's directorial debut Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has been one of the most awaited biopics in recent times. In the film, the actor also plays the leading role based on Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation who was accused of espionage. Now after much delay, Madhavan finally announced a new update on Rocketry. The trailer for the film is all set to be dropped on April 1, 2021.

Madhavan took to his social media pages and dropped a poster announcing the trailer release date of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. On his Twitter page, he also assured that it's not an April Fools' Joke and the trailer will indeed be unveiled on Thursday.

While replying to Akshara Haasan, Maddy tweeted, "Thank you so very much Akshara. Very kind of you ... I DO HOPE people don’t think it’s an April fools joke.... because that will make me look like the biggest fool & I assure you it’s not a joke &  not a prank— please believe me.. haha Ha."

Meanwhile, a few days back, Madhavan revealed that he has been tested positive for coronavirus. The actor gave 3 Idiots twists to his statement as Aamir Khan had also been tested COVID-19 positive.

Madhavan wrote, "Farhan HAS to follow Rancho and Virus has always been after us BUT this time he bloody caught up. UT-ALL IS WELL and the Covid Microbe will be in the Well soon. Though this is one place we don’t want Raju in. Thank you for all the love. I am recuperating well."
