Although Vinod Khanna has passed away, his legacy lives on, in the form og his movies. But even now, there's one more film of his, that is yet to see a release.

Guns of Banaras will be his swansong that will hit theatres later this year. After Vinod Khanna passed away on Thursday morning, producer of his last film Shaina Nath reminisced some fond memories while working him on the film..

She says, “I still can’t believe the news that he is gone. He was such an amazing person to work with. He shot with us for almost 12 days. He plays actor Karan Nath’s father in the film. The whole unit of the film was in awe with him. Be his charisma or humility, everybody loved him on the sets. We would have hundreds of people coming to the set just because they wanted to catch a glimpse of him. People would wait for him for hours.”

Despite his age, the veteran actor was very punctual as he would get up early to be on the sets. Shaina adds, “He was very professional too. When we were early morning shoot, he would get up and get ready on time. He was never late. He was a loving person and his humility touched everyone. Despite the fact that he was very particular about his diet, he would eat whatever I would bring for him on the sets. He would taste the various dishes I used to bring for him. He never said no.”

Recalling one instance about his humility, she further adds, “While we were shooting for the film, he once got a call from Delhi and he had to go. So he asked me to book a ticket for him. So I tried looking but since Banaras has very few flights, I couldn’t manage to get one for the next day. So I told him and he asked me to book a train ticket. I was shocked when he asked for a train ticket because he is such a big star. He insisted that he doesn’t mind travelling via train. So I booked the train ticket. This instance became very famous among the entire team and everyone would discuss his humility. Everybody loved him on the sets. We will surely miss him. He was very dear to all of us.”
