Mannara Chopra, the youngest cousin of Priyanka Chopra, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming Telugu film, Puri Jagannadh’s Rogue, is excited about the reports of Salman Khan bagging the remake rights of the film. Apparently, Salman who had starred in Wanted, the remake of Jagannadh’s Pokiri, was impressed with the story and acquired the remake rights of Rogue. Says Mannara, “I feel excited and privileged to be a part of a prestigious film which is sought to be taken over to a national platform by none other than Salman Khan, the biggest superstar of Bollywood. The scale of the film has now become even bigger with this news.”

Mannara, who made her Bollywood debut with Zid in 2014  has worked in three Tollywood films so far, and is looking at the film as a “game-changer” in her career, “I got critical acclaim for my earlier two films in the south but knowing Jagannadh’s reputation in the south, it is being eagerly awaited. I play the role of a singer in the film and I am looking at it as “the film” that could steer my career in a certain direction.” she says.

Mannara is no stranger to Salman. The actress reveals that she had worked with the superstar in a commercial, way before she made inroads in Tollywood. “I had done a Suzuki commercial with Salman, which was directed by Rohan Sippy. That was three years ago. It was like a fan interacting with a big superstar but we shared a great camaraderie,” she smiles.
