Priyanka Chopra may have Daddy’s Li’l Girl tattooed on her forearm but she may as well get a tattoo saying: The Rock.

Because that is what she has been to her mother Madhu Chopra ever since her dad Ashok Chopra passed away on June 10, 2013. The actress who returned to work, (in the same week that she lost her dad) to honour her commitments, has put aside her own grief and is concentrating on her mother’s wellness.

The actress who lives in the same apartment complex as her parents, has now moved in with her mom. She didn’t want Mrs. Chopra living alone in the house, as even her brother is in Europe studying. She has taken over the responsibility of her recently widowed mother. She ensures that her mom travels with her wherever she goes whether it is within the country or abroad.

When PC had to travel to Miami and New York to promote her single Exotic she took Madhu along and made time for her, despite her hectic schedule. She has even been taking mommy along to her shootings and other work related outings. The clinic run by her parents, is being managed by a competent set of people for now as PC doesn’t want her mom to return so soon.

Says a source close to the actress, “Priyanka has become the son of the house.

Her brother is too young and it is up to her to be strong and see her mother and brother through this. In fact, a few days after her dad passed away, it was Madhu’s 60th birthday. PC and her dad (even though he was in the hospital) had planned a party for her but he didn’t live to see the day. However, to honour his last wish, she organised a small dinner for her mother and invited her close friends.

PC has made a promise to herself that she will not cry and only remember the happy times with her dad. She also makes sure that her mother does not wear white because she had promised her dad that. It is a tough time for her as well but she is more concerned about her sibling and her mom.” Daddy would have been so proud.
