The audio of the last call Pratyusha made before her death has been retrieved and it does give a shocking twist to the entire case..
Pratyusha Banerjee committed suicide on April 1 and ever since then, her death has become the central point of discussion in all circuits. There have been no end to speculations, blame-games and statements regarding the entire incident. While boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh had been charged on account of abetement to suicide, the case against him might just be stronger now.
Why? The audio clip of the last call made by Pratyusha, minutes before her death has been retrieved and the revelations are shocking. It was reported that Rahul's call was the only one Pratyusha attended on the day she hung herself at her Goregaon residence. Neighbour Anuj Sachdeva too had heard the actress screaming on the phone but chose not to interfere.
The call which lasted for about three and half minutes. Rahul had called Pratyusha after her attempts to call him failed. The call was made at 3.43 pm and it's been reported that Pratyusha took her life at around 4 pm. So, as it turns out to be, it was immediately after the phone call that Pratyusha decided to hang herself.
In the call, Pratyusha accused Rahul of cheating her. Special Public Prosecutor Nilesh Pawaskar revealed to a daily, "Rahul has been impressing girls by telling them his mother is an MLA, he owns a casino in Sri Lanka and around 150 acres of land at his native place. Pratyusha, along with several other girls, was a victim of his grand statements."
But does the phone call turn the case in Pratyusha's parents' favour? In a way it does. But 'merely speaking on the last phone call does not amount to abetement', claimed Rahul's lawyer Aabad Ponda. He further added, "Rahul and Pratyusha were happy in their relationship. To prove abetement, there should be instigation, provocation and one should prove that there was a direct act that led to the suicide."
