Pratyusha Banerjee's boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh booked for drunk driving

Rahul Raj Singh, accused of abetting the suicide of Television actress Pratyusha Banerjee, has been booked for alleged drunk driving, informed the police.

Rahul was accompanied by a friend, Saloni Sharma, when his car was stopped by the traffic police at Gajdharband in suburban Santacruz last night. He was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and also did not carry his driving license, they said.

He was brought to Santacruz police station and action was taken for drunken driving and not possessing the driving license, police said.

Rahul's friend Saloni allegedly also threatened the policeman not to take action against him or else she said she will complain to his superior, revealed a senior police official. Balika Vadhu star Pratyusha Banerjee had allegedly committed suicide at her residence in Kandivali in April this year, apparently following a strained relationship with Rahul.
