Plot of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Fan' revealed!

Currently, Shah Rukh Khan is busy promoting his upcoming film Happy New Year, but once that releases, the Badshah will start shooting for his next film Fan. While the news of his playing a double role is already out (he will be seen in a twin avatar 15 years after Duplicate), what few know is that he will be playing both, a reigning superstar (himself) and his fan!

The film is reportedly based on a story about a crazy fan who is keen on meeting the superstar he idolises. SRK will portray the characters of a ruling superstar, inspired by his playing himself, and that of a common man, named Rahul. The character of Rahul is a huge fan of King Khan. Both will be lookalikes, with "One being blessed by luck as the other will be cursed by life.

The opening shot, say sources, will have the superstar celebrating his birthday outside his residence, and his starstruck lookalike will be seen watching him. Around 700 people will be present in the shot and the scene will be just like how it is when SRK celebrates his birthday every year at his residence Mannat every year on Nov 2. There is speculation that the crowd scenes will be filmed this year on SRK's birthday next month. A replica of the bungalow will be created at Film City for the shoot.

The leading lady roles will be essayed by Ileana D'Cruz and Vani Kapoor.
