Playwright Taarak Mehta passes away: 'Jethalal' Dilip Joshi reacts to the news of his death

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma is one of the most popular sitcoms on TV today. But the entire team of the show was left shocked when they heard that noted playwright Taarak Mehta, who's the inspiration behind the show is no more. 

The writer was not in good health for over two years now. Reportedly, he breathed his last on Wednesday morning. He was 87.

This news has shocked the entire unit of the TV show who were 'shooting when they heard it'. Dilip Joshi who plays Jethalal on the show told us, "I just heard the news. We are also busy finishing our episodes and suddenly we got to know he's no more. It's extremely sad. But we knew he was not keeping well. It's also mostly because of old age. He was suffering a lot especially in the last few months . But this news has shocked the entire team. Everyone is extremely sad now."
