Pink: This riveting, intriguing trailer featuring Big B and Taapsee captures the dark side of India perfectly!

In the last few years, crime rates in India has increased by leaps and bounds. Taking a cue from the current scenario prevailing in the Indian society, maverick director Shoojit Sircar decided to spin a film on the crucial issue. Titled Pink, the theatrical promo of the film has just been launched and outstanding is just an understatement. 

Dealing with the ills that plague the Indian society at large, Pink is a brilliantly conceptualised take on feminism, women empowerment and how Indians treat women at large. The trailer opens with Big B who's a lawyer questioning Taapsee whether she's a virgin or not. 

The trailer gives a glimpse of the world that Pink is set in. Three girls who were molested by a group of men are arrested for defending themselves. What follows is a series of trials that not only bring out the problems that Indian women face in their day-to-day lives but also raises a lot of questions that women have to answer each and everyday. 

This brilliantly riveting trailer is no less than any other spine-chilling thriller, although it's categorically a drama-based flick. But the intriguing promo captures the dark side of India perfectly to the point. Will this finally bring in a change within? For every film that attempts to do that, we hope it happens.
