As many as 9 girls have claimed that TVF's founder Arunabh Kumar molested or tried to molest them. Taapsee reacts to those stories.
Actress Taapsee Pannu says she knows Arunabh Kumar professionally but not enough to pass a judgement on the founder-CEO of web entertainment channel 'The Viral Fever', who has been accused by a woman of molestation.
On Sunday, an anonymous blog post surfaced on the portal medium.com under the handle Indian Fowler, claiming to be a former employee of The Viral Fever (TVF) and accused Kumar of sexually exploiting the girl during her stint at the firm from 2014-2016.
After the blog post went viral, many women have shared their stories accusing Kumar of molestation. "I have met Arunabh couple of times including during the promotions of my last release "Runningshaadi.com". Professionally we have been in touch. But I don't know him that well to pass a judgment," Taapsee said.
The "Baby" actress is in 'confused' state and doesn't know who is right - the women who are coming out in open talking about being molested or her friends working with TVF who deny the allegations.
"When I read about it (allegations of molestation) I had a word with few girls who work there in TVF who I know. And the girls had only good things to talk about Arunabh and they said it's all stupid and nothing of this sort has happened to them," she says.
"On the other hand there are girls who come out with their identity and say they are molested. I understand the amount of heart it takes to say you are molested. Right now I am in a very confused state," she adds.
Taapsee who played the role of Minal, a victim of sexual assault in "Pink" too has faced similar situation during her school and college days. But insists it has never happened in the film industry with her. "I have been touched, felt at wrong places in my college and school days but not in the film industry. I don't go out and meet people except few who I know.. I am in a shell. I did not give an opportunity to people to think of a barter deal as acting is not the only thing I am passionate about," she adds.
