Paresh Rawal to join Team 'Tiger Zinda Hai'

Early in his career, Paresh Rawal was typecast and almost exclusively played negative characters. It took a Priyadarshan to rescue him from being a baddie with Hera Pheri.  In recent years, he has been seen in several comic roles. Now, Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar has cast him in his spy thriller Tiger Zinda Hai, starring Salman Khan. The two actors were last seen together in Ready.

Says an insider, “He hasn’t been seen in such a role before. His character will surprise audiences.”

Of Paresh’s inclusion, Ali says, “I have always been a fan of his work and what he brings to his characters. I am fortunate to be part of a film which is Paresh Rawal’s first with Yash Raj Films.”

TZH will go on floors around March 15.
