Around a month ago, Parag Tyagi who played the title role in Brahmarakshas was eased out of the show to bring about a twist. His character was killed and Kishwer Merchant took over as the demon. This change, however, didn’t go down well with the viewers. The ratings of the show, which was ruling the charts when Parag was playing Brahmarakshas, dipped considerably. It no longer features among the top five. Consequently, the makers have decided to bring Parag back to create havoc in the lives of the protagonsits.

Says Parag, “Brahmarakshas is close to my heart. When my character died, I got emotional. It took me two days to accept it. But it was a creative call taken by the makers. I was missing shooting for it, but then I moved on.” During that period he got an offer from Ram Gopal Verma for Sarkar 3. The actor is playing the right hand man of Amitabh Bachchan in the film. “Raman (his character) is mute, but he is extremely dangerous. It’s challenging and great fun shooting for the film,” he says.

Now, with his return to Brahmarakshas, the actor will be simultaneously shooting for the serial as well as the film. “Luckily, I am shown to be a big dangerous guy in both. Before I started shooting for the serial, I had gained eight kilos. RGV wanted me to be the same size for the film too, and now that I am back in the show, it works for me,” grins Parag. His character will be shown more ferocious in the serial now. “I will have more powers than before,” he say happily.
