Pankaj Dheer directs son Nikitin Dheer in Fear Files

Nikitin Dheer who has replaced Tanushree Dutta as the host of Best Of Fear Files will for the first time be directed by his father, actor-producer Pankaj Dheer. While shooting for the first episode, Nikitin got emotional. "I am working with my father for the first time. It's been a fantastic experience, but for the first few hours I was emotional. Later I got into the groove. I must say having worked with good directors so far in whatever I have done, my father is technically sound and very well prepared." For Pankaj it's a "terrific experience" to direct his son. "Nikitin's got a fantastic personality. Hosting is a completely different ballgame, but it requires him to perform and he is doing a commendable job," gushes the proud father. Ask him if he finds it more comfortable directing his son and Pankaj says, "On the sets we are completely professional.

After pack-up we are father and son." When asked how Nikitin was roped in as the host, Pankaj says it was completely the channel's decision. "It's a co-incidence that I am the director and he is the host," he quips.

After Chennai Express, the tall, good-looking actor was seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi and is following it up with another TV show. "Yes, but it's a stop-gap arrangement. He is cut out for films and has got several offers, but we have see that it is better than Chennai Express," says Pankaj. As for Nikitin, he finds it interesting to work in both the mediums. "The work has to be exciting, that's all," he smiles.
