Indian Ocean's Rahul Ram, stand-up comedian, writer and lyricist Varun Grover and stand-up comedian and social-satirist Sanjay Rajoura had collaborated and put together a song called 'Mere saamne wali sarhad pe' on India's Independence Day. At a time when ceasefire violations had spiralled, souring relations between both countries, the song spoke about how the people of both nations have more in common than the perceived differences.

The Pakistani version of the song written by Muhammad Hassan Miraj, who identifies himself as a Major in the Pakistan Army, stresses that leaders of both nations should not perpetuate negative messages. "I have been writing about the two countries since a long time," says Miraj adding that when he saw the video of 'Aisi taisi democracy', he felt they should also respond to it. "Its been almost 70 years, but this divide which people choose to refer as a line, has claimed hundreds of lives. It's not just wars, hum khud apney bacchon ko nafrat ka sabaq sikha rehay hain.. wahan bhi ..yahan bhi," he says. Produced by Khawar Azhar who sent Miraj the version by 'Aisi Taisi Democracy', the song written by Miraj has been sung by Mujtaba Ali, with Ali and Kamran on guitar while Gul Durrani directed the video.
