Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati ran into fresh trouble after the film sets were vandalised yet again, this time in Kolhapur. Not just that, unidentified men barged in and lit the whole costume area with petrol bombs.
Around 1000 costumes have been burnt but thankfully, no one was injured. While the production house as well as the filmmaker remained mum on the subject till now, they have finally released an official statement on the whole episode.
The statement reads -
"Filed a complaint against miscreants who vandalised our costume & jewelry and set it on fire Padmavati. No loss of life, no one seriously hurt on vandalised shoot of Padmavati."
The official Twitter handle of the film also tweeted, thanking the Maharashtra police.
Thank you #maharashtrapolice for the quick & efficient support on #Padmavati vandalized sets. Special thanks to @vishwasnp
