Ranveer-Deepika and Arjun-Sonakshi finally acknowledge (ok, don't deny) their relationship in public
No one in the 4,000-strong crowd at the AIB Knockout was surprised when Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha walked in to see Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor get roasted by a bunch of stand-up comics with Karan Johar hosting the evening. After all they are co-stars, friends and more -- even though they wont admit to that last bit. But what was surprising was that when the jokes began rolling and Dips and Sona were constantly addressed to the girlfriends, they didn't seem to mind. They were either too busy enjoying themselves to worry about denials or they re finally ready to admit that they are in a relationship.
Deepika and Sonakshi sat in the front row and played supporting girlfriends while their beaus got roasted by the at Roast by All India Bakc**od. Obviously they knew the tone of the show, (assuming they did not know the content) and they sportingly chose to be present. When Ranveer made his entry, he walked straight to where his girl was sitting and kissed Dippy on her cheek. At one point when the sexual jokes on him and Anushka Sharma got a little racy, Ranveer looked at his Leela and mouthed "I love you" twice. He even jumped off the stage and kissed her at one point. Deepika was a total sport, laughed at all the jokes, even though many were at her expense, with the constant references to her ex Ranbir Kapoor. She was clearly having fun. And she didn't mind the jibes, or being called the girlfriend. As soon as the show ended, the duo vanished backstage.
Sonakshi sat with Arjun's family, also in the front row and giggled through the weight jokes, their sex life, and many references to his ex-girlfriend Arpita Khan. Arjun didn't make even make any grand gestures toward her -- like hugging her or planting a kiss on her cheek -- that's not his style. And at the end of the show he sat on the steps of the stage and was casually chatting with her, his sister and other guests. Their comfort level spoke volumes. Let's hope they don't now spoil it all by issuing denials.
