Star of Million Dollar Baby and Boys Don't Cry, Hilary Swank is turning don roles in movies to be able to take care of her ailing father.

The two-time Oscar winner in an interview with The Huffington Post said that she is spending time with her father Stephen Swank, a former chief master sergeant in the Oregon Air National Guard who had a lung transplant recently.

“There is nothing I want to do more other than being with my dad in this time of need. And if it wasn’t me taking care of him, I think I would always look back and regret that opportunity to be able to take care of him and help him through this extraordinary time,” said Swank.

Swank's father was away most of her life being with US Army. Therefore she is spending her time with her father to make up for that lost period. According to her, their one-on-one conversations are now part of his healing process.

Swank will be next seen in Alejandro González Iñárritu's series The One Percent opposite The Hangover star Ed Helms.
