A R Murugadoss will starting work on his film with Hrithik Roshan by the end of the year. The Tamil director is best known for his action/thriller like Ghajini and Holiday this film too will be along the same lines. Also, after Bang Bang, Hrithik has been wanting to revisit the genre.

Presently Hrithik is shooting for Mohenjo Daro while Murugadoss is wrapping his period film Akira with Sonakshi Sinha. And now, news doing the rounds is that Shruti Haasan is being considered to play the female lead opposite Duggu.

Our source reveals, "Hrithik has been keen to collaborate with the South director as he now wants to do more action/adventure subjects. The same has been conveyed to Murugadoss and he has been developing a script for the actor. No leading lady had been finalised but Shruti has been approached for the role. Shruti shares a great equation with the filmmaker and wants her in the project. Currently, the logistics are being worked out."

Murugadoss has a couple of scripts that he is developing for Hrithik and in the next couple of months, official announcements will be made.

The previous attempt
A few years ago, right after Shruti's debut film Luck with Imran Khan in B-Town bombed, Murugadoss had gone to her dad Kamal Haasan with an offer. Instead, Kamal told the director to do a film with his daughter instead. And Murugadoss signed her opposite Suriya in the Tamil Ezham Arivu (The Seventh Sense). Originally, the film was planned in Tamil and Telugu. Followed by a Hindi version. The film was planned as a re-launch for Shruti in Bollywood. At the time the director had confirmed, "It is a medical thriller with some of the most costly special effects ever done in Southern cinema. We want to take the sci-fi to a new level in the South. Shruti has a very powerful role and yes, we're hoping it'd launch her career in Hindi cinema." Better late than never, no?
