Seems like fans wait to see the deadly combination of superstars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in Shankar's film '2.0' is not going to end anytime soon.

After a grand music launch of 2.0 in Dubai last year, cine-goers have been waiting for watch the trailer of 2.0 which has been getting delayed again and again. Earlier there were reports of makers planning to release the film on August 2015 which meant a clash with Akshay Kumar's 'Gold.' But now reports suggest that the 2.0 will not be able to reach the audience this year.

As per Bollywood Hungama report, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's sci-fi will only release in 2019. In spite of makers working overtime to complete the VFX on the film, major portions of the film are still to be treated. As a result, the makers feel its best to shift the release to 2019.

A source close to the film revealed,  “With the amount of VFX work on 2.0 that is still pending there is no way the makers will be able to release the film this year. In fact, the producers are currently working out a perfect release date for the film that will now hit screens in 2019 and an announcement of the same will be done in the last quarter of the year.”

Delay in the release is adding to the cost of the film which is already being named the most expensive Indian film so far. Entertainment website quoted a source close to the makers that the budget has gone haywire while the makers of 2.0 are aiming to complete the VFX by the end of this year.

Seems like 'Kaala' will be Rajinikanth's only release for this year.
