Oh no! Dhanush confirms Rajinikanth's film Kaala won't release on Pongal

Rajini mania is going to return with vengeance next year as not one but two Rajinkanth films are set for release in 2018.

After much delay, makers of 2.0 have confirmed the release of Amy Jackson, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer is going to hit theatres on 25th January 2018. But unfortunately, Rajini's Kaala has been delayed. 

The film which brings back the Kabaali jodi of filmmaker Pa Ranjith and Thalaiva will not release in January nor on on Pongal, confirmed the film's producer Dhanush. His production house Wunderbar films broke the new on Twitter wrote, Contrary to rumours and articles, Kaala would not be ready for January or Pongal release." According to the buzz, the film's shoot will get over this month and after that Kaala needs 5-6 months of post production

Touted to be a gangster drama, Rajinikanth plays a gangster who fights for the rights of underprivileged in Dharavi area of Mumbai. Apart from Rajini, Kaala also stars Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Samuthirakani and Anjali Patil. Going by reports, Nana Patekar plays a politician, while Eswari Rao will be seen as Rajinikanth's wife.

Kaala is expected to release in 2018 but the date is yet to be decided
