Ocean's Eight: James Corden joins star-studded cast, Katie Holmes, Matt Damon to cameo

Corden will appear in a supporting role in the film.

Actress Katie Holmes has confirmed that she has a guest appearance in the highly anticipated film Ocean's Eight. The 38-year-old actress was spotted wandering around the filming  set. She headed off to a make-up trailer and came out with curlers in her hair.

The movie which stars Anne Hathaway, Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter and Mindy Kaling, will see Holmes playing herself, reported Entertainment Tonight.

"I'm a fan of all the Ocean's movies. So, I'm happy that it has so many amazing women in it, so many amazing actresses. It's really so much fun being a part of. I play myself. It's just a cameo," Holmes, 38, said.

Late Late Show host James Corden has also been confirmed to appear in the upcoming film in a supporting role. According to Deadline, the Late Late Show host will play an insurance investigator. He grows suspicious about a group of females who meet regularly in New York City to discuss mysterious plan. 

Corden is indeed in high demand. He is hosting the 2017 Grammy Awards next month. Recently, he voiced a character in Trolls, and is currently working on The Emoji Movie and Peter Rabbit. He will also be involved in Carpool Karaoke series.

Matt Damon, who starred as pickpocket Linus Caldwell alongside Brad Pitt and George Clooney in Ocean's Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen, is also doing a cameo.

Ocean's Eight plot details are still under wraps. However, there are rumours that the characters played by Bullock and Co are planning large-scale heist at the Met Gala in New York City. The spin-off is set to be released in the US on June 8, 2018.
