Anything goes in the name of news these days. And the bigger the name, the more newsworthy it is seen to be. A line of thought that has now turned out to be wishful thinking  is the “news”(pause for laughter) that Shah Rukh Khan will make an appearance in the Baahubali sequel that opens in April.

The “report” (more pause for laughter) went viral on Tuesday. All lies, it seems. According to sources from the Baahubali team there is no Shah Rukh Khan in the cast.

Veteran writer Vijayendra Prasad who is also the Baahubali director Rajamouli’s father says, “There is absolutely no truth to this.”

Careless sensational reports can cause irrepairable harm to a project as we recently saw when some lazy desk writer decided to fill empty space in a newspaper by reporting that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati had a dream sequence featuring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.
