Novelist Chetan Bhagat DISAPPEARS in cinematic version of his book Half Girlfriend!

Directors are known for their creative liberties and many a hapless actors scenes often are chopped out at the editing table. But Chetan Bhagat’s role as narrator in his own novel Half Girlfriend (2014) was dropped by the film’s director Mohit Suri. 

Chetan was a principal character in the novel which was Bhagat's sixth. But there has been no bad blood between the two because of that. The novelist was informed about it much before the film started and gave the director his full support and a free hand. 

Half Girlfriend is a coming of age novel set in Patna, rural Bihar, Delhi, and New York and is a love story about how a Bihari boy finally wins over the girl he loves.
