Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's break-up grabbed headlines last month. It was probably all over the place and this time, it's not just a rumour. When both the parties have maintained a strict silence on the issue, here's someone who's gone ahead and almost confirmed the news. Who's it? Katrina's ex-flame Salman Khan.
Salman and Katrina bonded famously when she drove all the way to Lonavla to promote Fitoor on Bigg Boss 9 platform. Had the break-up not happened, we wonder if Kat would have actually been a part of the show. But at the event too, onlookers saw the two chatting about her split and Salman was even overheard advising Kat to go all out and tell the people what the truth is.
But that didn't happen. Katrina carefully dodged all the break-up questions while Ranbir shied away from prying lights. When the two stayed mum on the issue, it was Salman who finally confirmed the same. It was his interview with senior journalist Rajat Sharma where he told Salman, "She however thanks you. On the beach she is in pictures with someone else(Ibiza beach pictures with Ranbir) but she reserves her thanks for you, Salman."
This was the point when Salman immediately retorted, "I think that thing has become old now. I think that page has been turned. I feel so as per the rumours that I have been hearing." When quizzed about his frequent meetings with his ex-girlfriend, he told, "Yes. It’s called Fitoor…deewangi…pagalpan. She is doing a film and I was doing Bigg Boss. She had come to my show to promote her film and I was happy to meet her. Then she went to Krishna’s comedy show and I was shooting in the vicinity for Sultan. When I learnt that she is around, I thought I should go and meet her. When I arrived, she was busy giving her shot and I just walked up to her on to the stage. I thought the channel would edit it out. But they didn’t."
We guess Salman waited for Katrina to shed some light on the break-up. When she didn't, he decided to take the issue up himself. And Salman being Salman, he's finally gone ahead and affirmed all such reports.
