Filmmaker Karan Johar thinks nobody liked him in 'Bombay Velvet', where he donned the role of a villain, as he is not getting acting offers anymore.

Anurag Kashyap's directorial venture 'Bombay Velvet' saw the 43-year-old producer making his full-fledged acting debut. Johar played the role of a rich businessman, who also happens to be a villain in the crime thriller. Set against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and Jazz, 'Bombay Velvet' is based on historian Gyan Prakash's book 'Mumbai Fables'. The film, however, failed to make any mark on box-office.

"Nobody has offered me any role till now. I think nobody has liked me. Why should I be blaming Anurag Kashyap (for the film's failure)," Karan told reporters in Mumbai on Thursday  at a promotional event of his upcoming film 'Bahubali'. "I should at least get offers to refuse them. I can't cast myself in my own films...I am not that stupid," he said when asked about his plans on acting front.

Karan's first movie appearance was over a decade-and- half ago in the Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol-starer blockbuster 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'. He has also appeared in films like 'Om Shanti Om' and 'Luck By Chance' and 'Kal Ho Na Ho'.
