The good looking lad is also not the reason why Freida parted ways with her long time beau Dev

Siddhartha Mallya recently grabbed headlines when pictures of him partying with Freida Pinto did the rounds in the media. The Slumdog Millionaire actress turned 30 in October and Sid was there with the pretty lady on her special day. However, Ms Pinto’s boyfriend (now ex) Dev Patel was no where to be found. In fact, he was missing in the pictures as well. So when news about Freida and Dev calling it quits came out, a certain section of media blamed the Mallya scion for this high-profile break-up. Reports about Sid being romantically involved with the B-town beauty started floating in the media. While Freida and Dev haven’t spoken abouttheir break-up, Sid Mallya has cleared the air from his side.

Talking about partying with Freida, Vijay Mallya’s son told a leading daily, “People party with their friends on their birthdays, and I happened to be in that group. There were five of us in the pictures, but I guess I was the only one deemed newsworthy. When the story broke in the UK, they all wrote just about her having a good time. Then, journalists in India saw the pictures and said, ‘Hang on, we know that guy.’ Suddenly, there were rumours of us dating. It’s absurd.”

Well, we wonder then what went wrong between Freida and Dev who at one point thought of each other as soul mates.
