No horror films for Alia Bhatt

As an actress, Alia Bhatt is keen to explore all genres, except one: horror. She confesses that she is scared of the dark. But that’s not her only fear. She isn’t too fond of monsters like Godzilla either.

Remembering a particularly harrowing incident, Alia says, “Once I had my birthday party in a garden and I wanted Godzilla to attend. He came and I sat in my mom’s lap and cried the whole time because he was so big and I was petrified. I was so scared of Godzilla.”

Alia adds, “I have thought of the horror film genre, but we don’t really do many horror films here.” 

Funnily enough, the Bhatts are known for producing a number of horror films, including the Raaz series. Even her cousin Vikram Bhatt is known for making several films in the genre. 

Will she bite the bullet, then? She concludes, “I wouldn’t want to do a horror film right now because I don’t want kids to see me like that. I want them to like me and not get scared of me.”
