Ram Gopal Varma’s upcoming film 26/11 has been passed without any cuts by the Censor Board with a ‘A’ certificate, says a source. It must be a huge relief for RGV as the film is based on the Mumbai terror attacks.
Earlier when the director had announced his intention to make a film on it, it had created a lot of controversy. In fact in the aftermath of the attack, RGV had even visited the hotel that had been under terrorists’ attack. He had gone along with the then chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, which had created a huge furore. It had led to the ouster of Deshmukh and RGV also came under criticism.
Now, five years later, the maker is ready with a film based on the dreaded attacks. He has shot at some of the actual places where the attacks took place like the hotel Leopold.
