Soon after, on October 30, the two got married in a grand fairytale-like wedding that took place in Mumbai. The wedding festivities included other events as well such as roka ceremony, haldi, mehendi and a reception party, pictures of which took the social media by storm.
And now, after the newly married couple are settled in their new home, the Grah Pravesh photos of which Gautam shared on his social media handle, and are through with the Karva Chauth celebrations, the duo have jetted off to an unknown destination for their honeymoon.
On November 7 early morning, Kajal took to her Instagram handle to share photos of personalised pouches and passports as the couple whisked away for their honeymoon.
The post was captioned as, "Bags are packed", and "Ready to go" respectively. Kajal's caption in the second Instagram story featuring the passports was accompanied by an aeroplane emoji.

On November 4, in a set of Instagram stories shared on Namrata Aggarwal aka The Daily Soap Company's Instagram handle, it was revealed how the couple were celebrating their first Karva Chauth together.
In one of the photos shared on Instagram, Gautam was seen getting henna applied on his hand while Nisha Aggarwal was cheerfully smiling at the camera. Kajal could be seen smiling as she sat next to Gautam while he got his mehendi done.
In other photo featured five hands with mehendi on them with the caption 'Karva Chauth scene. Guess who is who?"
In yet another photograph shared by Kajal on her Instagram handle, she wished husband Gautam a Happy Karva Chauth. In the photograph, Kajal was seen dressed in a red saree with a matching red face-mask.

Later, Kajal took to her Instagram handle to share pictures of herself dressed in the red, custom-made Manish Malhotra saree, in which she looked ravishing.

During a recent interaction with Vogue India, Kajal opened up about her love story with Gautam. The actor said, "Gautam and I dated for about three years, and then we were friends for seven. We have progressed in every stage of being friends and been very important in each other’s lives."
She further shared, "We were used to meeting all the time. Whether it was a social party or an important professional endeavour, the other one would always show up. So, amidst the lockdown, when we didn’t see each other for a few weeks—at best, we would catch a glimpse behind a mask at a grocery store—we realised that we wanted to be together."
Talking about the proposal, Kajal stated, "Gautam is understated when it comes to romance. He’s not the filmy sort, and I am grateful for it because I have enough of that in my films. So, it wasn’t a proposal with all of the jazz, but it was an extremely heartfelt, emotional conversation between us. He was so authentic about his feelings and the way he expressed how he wanted to have a future with me; I couldn’t be more sure about spending my life with him!"
