Neerja Bhanot's classmates have a touching gift for Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor's performance as Neerja Bhanot is getting appreciated from Bollywood stars to movie critics. Early box office updates of Neerja show that viewers too have given their nod for this biopic.

But on Saturday, producer of Neerja and renowned photographer Atul Kasbekar showed the sweetest accolade Sonam received for her portrayal came from Neerja Bhanot's schoolmates at the time.

Posting an image of Sonam holding a T-Shirt signed by Neeraj Bhanot's classmates, Kasbekar revealed in the caption that they have decided to make Sonam an honorary member of the class of 1978 of Bombay Scottish High School.

In the picture, Sonam looks elated after getting the signed white T-Shirt with Bombay Scottish logo on the left.

Neerja tells the story of Neerja Bhanot's bravery. She saved hundreds of lives when her flight was hijacked by terrorists in 1986.
