After Radha Ravi's distasteful, vile remarks on Nayanthara at the press meet of Kolaiyuthir Kaalam have stirred up a storm in Tamil cinema, Kotapadi J Rajesh, a former manager of Lady Superstar, who bankrolled films such as Aramm and the upcoming March 28th release Airaa, has vowed to not cast Radha Ravi in any of his future productions.

"A "reputed" actor goes on stage at a film's trailer launch event and spews misogynist, distasteful and insulting remarks at the very same actor whose trailer launch he's attending. An event held to celebrate her solo film. And the
attendees; all watch, laugh and clap at it. It is painful to see how we've reduced ourselves to this in the name of respect for seniors and fear for the position that they hold. Mr Radharavi comes from a reputed and legendary family. Dear sir, reputation cannot come by name, it has to come by your words and actions. If you want to say or do anything for around of applause, there are several other places you can be and you're familiar with them," said an official statement from KJR Studios, who presented Thala Ajith and Nayanthara's Viswasam all over TN this January and delivered a blockbuster.

"We will be glad to rid Tamil cinema of one more misogynist, one more egoist. This is the time to speak up. This is the time to act. What Mr Radharavi spoke about Ms Nayanthara and about the Pollachi case is not okay. Not okay at all. It is high time we voice out against him. Will it change anything? Don't worry about it. Voice out. Voice out until the right people hear it. The people in power hear it. And are pushed to a situation where they have to take a stand and react. Nadigar Sangam, we hope you're hearing this. We sincerely condemn Mr Radharavi and will not cast him in any of our films and we will strongly advice our associates and friends in the industry not to cast him either. We hope you take appropriate action against him. If we don't support our women, then who will?," the statement added.

The latest update is that DMK has suspended Radha Ravi from all the primary membership of the party and all other posts according to an official press statement by General Secretary Anbazhagan.
