It all began when a 26 second video of the Malayalam actress from the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi from her debut Malayalam film Oru Adaar Love went viral on social media platforms. The said video has Priya arching her eyebrows, winking and smiling coyly at a boy who crushes on her in school and it broke the Internet in just a few hours of the release of the song. 

Not just that, Priya also became the most searched actress on Google, beating the likes of Sunny Leone, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt and others. While one would think that the record making spree of the 'girl who winked her way to fame' will now stop, looks like that is not going to be the case.

The multi-talented actress who has become the national love interest of the country overnight, has now gone a step ahead and beaten the owner of Instagram Mark Zuckerberg in the number game of followers. While Mark has 4 million followers on Instagram, Priya Prakash has 4.5 million followers on the photo sharing platform.
