Have you ever thought, what if Albus Dumbledore was played by an Indian actor?
There was an opportunity, if only Naseeruddin Shah had auditioned for the part of the principle of Hogwarts after Richard Harris died.
During a Twitter chat with The Times Of India, the Waiting star revealed that he had a chance to be a part of the magical world of Harry Potter created by JK Rowling.
"My agent wanted me to audition for Dumbledore’s character after Richard Harris died. I was asked if I would like to audition for it. But I wouldn’t audition for it," wrote the actor.
Dumbledore was initially played by late English actor Richard Harris. When he passed away in 2002, Michael Gambon was roped in to play the character from the third movie of the franchise.
Just imagine how it would have panned out when Harry's name got selected for Triwizard Tournament!
