Namit Das plays lead in Indian version of 'Everybody Loves Raymond'

Actor Namit Das has been finalised to play the the lead in the Indian adaptation of globally popular American sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. 

The show in Hindi, is titled Sumit Sambhal Lega, and Namit will play the protagonist Sumit, the Indian Raymond, whose predicament is one that men face universally, of getting stuck in family situations post marriage that gives rise to a comical extravaganza.

"A wife who seems to win all arguments, an overprotective mother - I have lived this and more. Now, are you ready to see what I go through every day? Welcome to the Desi Raymond – Sumit Sambhal Lega," Namit said in a statement.

Star Plus has recently acquired the rights to the officially adapt the sitcom in India.
