Music composer Shekhar Ravijiani may have given many hit scores for Bollywood films but his dream composition is for megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

The 35-year-old artiste, who as a part of music duo Vishal-Shekhar has composed award-winning scores for films like 'Jhankar Beats', 'Student of the Year' and 'Chennai Express', wants to cut an independent single with the legendary actor.

"My dream is to take out a single with Amitabh Bachchan. I am his fan and love his voice. An independent song, not a film track with and for him is my ultimate dream. I would be happiest if that happens," Shekhar told PTI in an interview.

The singer-music director, whose latest rendition of Hanuman Chalisa was launched by the 71-year-old actor, says he shares a warm relationship with Bachchan. "He has always wished me luck for all the previous songs of mine. I used to send my songs to him after recording and he would respond with positive messages. So, this time I knew he had to launch this single. I asked him and he sweetly obliged."Nothing can better this,"

Shekhar said. The musician feels a great affinity towards independent songs as they give him personal satisfaction. "Independent singles are what I want to do at a personal level. They are not ambitious in nature. I don't want fame from them but if people like them, I feel nice," he said.

The 'Hanuman Chalisa' is Shekhar's fourth song after his Marathi singles 'Saazni' (2012), 'Saavli' and Telugu work 'Butterfly', both in 2013. "Hanuman Chalisa is again something I have always loved and believed in, hence released in the form of a single.

"My grandmother wanted me to compose and sing a version of this prayer and though she is not with us today, wherever she is, she must be smiling. I feel blessed to have made this song and the response has made me feel even better," Shekhar said.
